Sabres practices are open to public starting Friday

The Buffalo Sabres have announced their training camp schedule and practice times, which are open to the public at First Niagara Center.

Players report on Thursday for testing and physicals. Thursday’s activities are closed to the public.

Practice sessions begin Friday and are open to the public. The schedule for Friday through Sunday includes multiple sessions. Session one runs from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with a scrimmage from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Session two is from 11 to 11:45 a.m., and session three is from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The Sabres open their preseason slate of games on Monday against the Wild in Minnesota at 8 p.m. They return for camp Tuesday with sessions from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Next Wednesday, the Sabres host Ottawa for a preseason game at 7 at First Niagara Center. The next day, Sept. 24, the team moves training camp to HarborCenter for sessions that run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and from 11:30 to 1 p.m.
