Appleton woman is bitten in an attack

SOMERSET – A woman said she was attacked by three other women in the parking lot of the Somerset Conservation Club on Saturday night as she attended a wedding.

The 37-year-old victim told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that she had been trying to leave a wedding just before 9:45 p.m. on Johnson Creek Road when the other women attacked her, striking her and knocking her to the ground. She said one of the women bit her on the thigh and began to scratch her eye while she was on the ground.

The victim said several of the guests broke up the “scuffle” and she went home with her daughter. Deputies called for emergency medical personnel to evaluate the victim’s injuries, which include a minor facial cut and a cut on her thigh.

No arrests were reported.
