Cash is right to set goal of 100 percent graduation
A previous letter writer indicated his concern that Superintendent Kriner Cash has stated his goal is a high school graduation rate of 100 percent, believing this goal to be unrealistic. I am comfortable with this goal since goals are what an organization strives to obtain.
Would the writer be more comfortable if Cash’s goal was a high school graduation rate of 90 percent? What if this goal was stated as to not graduate 10 percent of high school students?
I suspect most people would prefer going to a hospital whose goal is to cure 100 percent of patients as opposed to a goal of curing 90 percent of patients.
