Kharlos to debut cassette tape at Dreamland

Fans of free shows (and libations) should head to Dreamland Saturday evening as the fuzzy garage rock three-piece Kharlos will celebrate the release of its debut cassette tape, “Don’t Think About Dying at My Party.”

The until-now quiet trio (Ben Maries, Chris Scamurra, Steven Gordon), featuring present and past members of Space Wolves, ronaldraygun and Merchants, released the tape’s first single, “Work,” earlier this month, and will have a stack of physical copies available at the show courtesy of local tape label More Power Tapes.

Joining Kharlos will be The National-meets-Gaslight Anthem rock saviors Sixties Future, Queen City Cartel’s Dante Velour on the tables and a performance from a mystery act that is well worth the price of your curiosity.

Music begins at 387 Franklin St. at 7 p.m.
