The partially-collapsed building on Scott Street in Hamburg has been demolished, the foundation filled in and grass seed has been planted.
The abandoned building had been considered a problem spot in an area that the village wants to redevelop.
The village reached an agreement with the local land bank to demolish the building at 50-64 Scott St. The property was in foreclosure, and the roof collapsed during the November snowstorm. The Village Board had authorized the mayor to sign the agreement with the Buffalo Erie Niagara Land Improvement Corp. to fund the demolition.
