Falls man charged with apartment break-in, assault
LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded not guilty Thursday in Niagara County Court to an indictment accusing him of breaking into an apartment and assaulting the occupant.
Robert W. Eddy, 26, of Spring Street, denied charges of first- and second-degree burglary, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
On Feb. 9, Eddy allegedly entered another apartment in his building, and hit the resident, knocking him down and causing him to strike his head on the floor. Nothing was stolen, Assistant District Attorney Joel M. Grundy said.
