A West Side man has been arrested in last week’s killing of a Niagara Street barber, Buffalo police said Wednesday.
Victor Martinez, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the killing of Juan Ortiz Santiago, 28, who was gunned down inside his barber shop on the 500 block of Niagara Street at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 1. Homicide investigators are also continuing efforts to locate “a person of interest” in the shooting.
Anyone with information on details of the shooting or events leading up to it was asked by Detective Chief Dennis J. Richards to call the police department’s confidential TIPCALL line at 847-2255.
Martinez was listed as having addresses on the 200 block of Busti Avenue and the 200 block of Trenton Avenue.
