Kim, who was 19 at the time and became the third-youngest LPGA major champion, bounced back from her only bogeys on the 14th and 16th holes to finish at 4-under-par 68. Kim won nine times on the Korean LPGA Tour. Webb, who has won 41 times on the LPGA Tour, including seven majors, was in position to force a playoff but made a bogey on the 72nd hole to also finish at 68, including a double-bogey 5 on the second hole. The Hall of Famer caught Kim by carding five birdies in a span of seven holes through No. 15, but she missed a par putt from about 12 feet on the final hole after hitting her approach over the green.
