An intoxicated Clarence man was arrested Sunday for jumping in front of moving vehicles “to entertain himself,” authorities said.
State Police reported receiving multiple calls about an individual jumping in and out of traffic on Harris Hill Road in Clarence. A State Police Investigator in the area responded and witnessed the man “acting erratic by jumping in front of vehicles,” according to a news release.
The investigator attempted to speak with Scott Meyer, 21, but he became more erratic and belligerent and was placed in custody, police said. An off-duty Buffalo Police captain stopped to assist with the arrest.
Meyer told troopers he was darting into traffic “to entertain himself because he had been walking for a long time,” the release stated.
Troopers charged Meyer with disorderly conduct. He is due in Clarence Town Court at a later date.
