St. Joe’s edges Orchard Park in boys soccer tournament

St. Joe’s won the championship of the Orchard Park boys soccer tournament, going to penalty kicks to gain the victory over the host Quakers after the teams played a scoreless draw in regulation and overtime. The Marauders converted five PKs to four for Orchard Park.

In the other tournament game Sunday, Justin Bonnetto had two goals to lead Williamsville North over Canisius, 4-1.

St. Joe’s Tyler Grichen was named tournament MVP. Carmine Tronolone (St. Joe’s), Tommy Roder (Orchard Park), William Bolton (Canisius) and Noah Bachwitz (Williamsville North) were all-tournament players.
