Heather Viola Passmore and James Francis Sottile were married at 2 p.m. on July 4 in Maryvale Drive Presbyterian Church, Cheektowaga. Guests gathered for a reception at Marcy Casino in Delaware Park, Buffalo. The Rev. Dorothy Pearman of Cheektowaga heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Ronald and Cheryl Passmore of Cheektowaga. The bridegroom’s parents are James and Mary Beth H. Sottile of Kingston. The bride, a graduate of Cleveland Hill High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in education from SUNY Buffalo State and a master’s degree in education from Nova Southeastern University. The bride is a special-education teacher for Buffalo Public Schools. The groom, a graduate of Kingston High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Quinnipiac University. He is a media specialist at the New York State Senate. After a trip to Europe, the couple will make their home in Buffalo.
