Two-vehicle crash in Hartland sends two to hospitals

HARTLAND - A driver and child were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon, with the driver flown by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.

Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said the collision at Carmen and Ridge roads occurred about 4:21 p.m. when a car on Carmen pulled out in front of a pickup on Ridge. Authorities have not released identities. .

The driver of the car was flown to ECMC in serious condition. A child in the car was taken to Women & Children’s Hospital, Buffalo, with non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver was not injured, deputies said.
