RAUH, Alfred R. Jr. "Pop Buzz"

RAUH - Alfred R. Jr. "Pop" "Buzz" Alfred was born on May 1, 1940 and died September 2, 2015. Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (Cullen) Rauh. Al is the son of the late Hildegarde (Liegl) and the late Alfred R. Rauh Sr. Al is the father of Elizabeth (Anthony) Funigiello, Michael (Pamela) Rauh, Kathleen (David) Goodman, Barbara (Scott) Swagler and Ann (Andrew) Allaire. Al was the loving "Pop" of Jeff (Victoria), Michael (Kara), Caitlin, Timothy, Christopher, Sarah, Benjamin, Shannon, Caroline, Hannah, Ian, Gavin, Olivia and Abigail. Al is the brother of John Rauh and Barbara Czora. Services for Al will be held at the convenience of the family. Alfred attended St. Joseph's University Elementary School, Bishop Fallon High School '58, Canisius College '63 and St. Bonaventure '72. For most of his young life, Al worked as a self-taught barber. Later as an adult he worked for Burroughs Corp. (later Unisys). Al was a member of Knights of Columbus at Nativity Church, St. George Parish, St. Vincent dePaul Society and a member of the Medical Mission to Haiti. Al was a parishioner of St. Anthony's in Farnham, NY and Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Orchard Park, NY. Al loved his family first, but he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Al was a resident of Hanford Bay, NY, for seven months of the year and Orchard Park, NY the remainder of the year. Al donated his body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. Burial at a later date in Cattaraugus, NY. Donations in honor of Al's life may be made for Haiti Relief. Sent to: St. George Parish, Haiti Committee, 74 Old Glenwood Rd., West Falls, NY, 14170.
