Tonawanda drug dealer pleads guilty in federal court

A Town of Tonawanda man pleaded guilty Friday before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distributing the drug methylone.

Alexander R. Filippone, 24, faces a prison term of up to 20 years and a fine of up to $1 million when he is sentenced Jan. 12, Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank T. Pimentel said.

Prosecutors said that on three dates in February, March and April 2013, Filippone sold quantities of the drug, also known on the streets as “molly” and “ecstasy,” to an undercover police officer in parking lots in Tonawanda and Amherst.
