NIAGARA FALLS – Two Niagara Falls men face weapon and drug charges after New York state police found a loaded semiautomatic pistol and 5.6 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop for speeding on Hyde Park Boulevard on Sunday.
Darius D. Williams, 27, was charged with speeding, felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. His passenger, Anthony D. Brantley, 34, was charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon and violation of a conditional parole.
Police said they found a purple grinder and a plastic bag containing marijuana, a narcotic pill, and a loaded Cobra semiautomatic pistol.
Both men were remanded to Niagara County Jail after they appeared in Niagara Falls City Court and each was held on $10,000 bail.
