NIAGARA FALLS – A 29-year-old Lockport ex-convict and his 25-year-old wife who was allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license were arrested on weapons and other charges after state police pulled over the car Stephany Chandler was driving on Caravelle Drive early Wednesday morning. The car was stopped because it lacked a left side rear-view mirror and had inadequate lights.
Ronnie H. Chandler and Stephany Chandler were both charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after their vehicle was towed and troopers found in it an unregistered pistol which Ronnie Chandler as a previously convicted felon was not supposed to have. His wife was charged with the weapons count for having such an allegedly unregistered pistol. Stephany Chandler was also charged with driving with a suspended license stemming from an earlier traffic incident. Both face procedings in Niagara Falls City Court in coming days.
