Jamestown’s chances of advancing beyond pool play in the Babe Ruth Baseball 13-and-Under World Series ended Tuesday night with a 12-1 loss to Paulino of the Bronx at Diethrick Park in Jamestown. the game was called after five innings because of mercy rules.
Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Middle Atlantic Region champions to put the game away early. Kelvin Marte drove in four runs and Kevin Marte had three RBIs for the Bronx team.
Jamestown is 0-3 in National Division Pool play with one game remaining. Every other team in the pool had at least two wins.
