NIAGARA FALLS – After Labor Day, the schedule of the Niagara County Health Department’s sexually transmitted disease and HIV clinic will change from Mondays and Wednesdays to Mondays and Thursdays.
Clinic hours will continue to be 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The clinic is located at the Trott Access Center, 1001 11th St., Niagara Falls. The clinic will not be open Monday, Sept. 7, because of the Labor Day holiday, so the new schedule will begin Thursday, Sept. 10.
The clinic provides examination and testing by specialized staff for anyone 12 years of age and older, regardless of income. Counseling and treatment are provided for bacterial vaginosis, chlamydia, genital lice, also known as crabs, genital warts, gonorrhea, herpes, scabies, syphilis, trichomoniasis, non-gonococcal urethritis or cervicitis and yeast infections. The staff also conducts HIV testing and counseling, and makes referrals for treatment if indicated. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call the Nursing Division at 278-1900.
