New South Transit waterline to be turned on

LOCKPORT – Water service will begin in early August in the first completed section of the new water main along South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport.

Mar-Wal Construction Co. of Depew has completed the work of installing, chlorinating, and testing the new 10-inch waterline between Tonawanda Creek and Bartz roads. Service transfers are anticipated to begin in early to mid-August for that section, said Lauren Glose of Wendel, the town’s engineering firm.
