Lockside Art Center receives rare books from Lewiston dealer

LOCKPORT – Lockside Art Center will open an exhibit Saturday of about 280 books donated by a Lewiston used-book dealer who recently closed his store.

The new Robert M. Giannetti Library – Bob’s Olde Books Collection will be dedicated during an afternoon of activities from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the gallery, 21 Main St., Lockport.

Spokesman Mike Miller said Giannetti is scheduled to attend Saturday’s ceremony showing off the “antiquarian and more recent books” that he donated to the center, along with two bookshelves.

Two art exhibitions are opening Saturday in the center: a members’ exhibition and a sculpture exhibition by Peggy Taylor.
