The U.S. finished with 265 medals, including 103 golds. Second-place Canada, the host country, finished with 217 medals, including 78 golds. The U.S. also finished with the most silvers and bronzes (81 each).
American gymnast Laura Zeng was the only competitor to win five gold medals. The U.S. finished with nearly as many golds (103) as Brazil, Cuba and Colombia combined (104). Those three countries finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
