VILLAGE FUN – Start the weekend on Friday night with the swing, blues and rock sounds of Leon and the Forklifts, headliners of the annual free and family-friendly Kenmore Concert on the Village Green. Blues Buddies starts things off at 4 p.m. Ten-year-old Kenmore resident and guitar virtuoso Jax Jordan takes the stage at 6 p.m., followed by Leon and his Forklifts until 10 p.m. Grab a bite at the “Mini Taste of Kenmore” featuring five village restaurants. Beer and wine will also be available. The event, sponsored by the Kenmore Merchants Association, takes place on the Village Green in front of the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave.

MORE VILLAGE FUN – Renew your acquaintance with a classic Main Street at the 46th annual East Aurora Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. In addition to the downtown merchants, there will be more than 100 vendors, special guests and family activities along the street.

Mary Burt will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at 9:45 a.m. with the American Legion Post 362 Color Guard. The award-winning Rince na Tiarna Irish dancers will perform at 10:30. BIKE TOUR – Embark on a rain or shine bike tour of South Buffalo at 8 a.m. Saturday. The leisurely tour will start and end at the parking lot behind St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 1974 Seneca Street. GREAT SCHOOL – How many people can say they own a piece of memorabilia from their elementary school? St. Leo the Great school closed last year, but folks will have a chance to bid on remaining items during a silent auction Saturday on church grounds, 885 Sweet Home Road, Amherst. The church’s annual summer celebration will also include a car show, bounce houses, climbing wall, more than 50 craft vendors, and chicken and barbecue rib dinners. ART FESTIVAL – The 2015 Glen Park Art Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday at Glen Falls between North Cayuga Road and Mill Street, Williamsville. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The event includes live street performers and music. Nearly 130 vendors and artists will display their works at this year’s festival. A pre-festival concert featuring the Fredtown Stompers is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

ROLLIN’ ALONGThe Orchard Park Lions Club will hold its 21st annual Quaker Days Car and Motorcycle Show and Cruise from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on North Buffalo Street in the Village of Orchard Park in conjunction with the Quaker Community Days celebration.

There will be 23 car and motorcycle classes and 40 special awards. Car owners will register at Orchard Park High School and cruise to the show at 11 a.m. Car entry fees are $15 advance, $18 Saturday. For info, call Tony Zappia at 662-1806 evenings or Matt Schutt at 646-6162.

BAKE OFF - The Clinton Bailey Farmers Market hosts a Sweet Treats Baking Contest Saturday. Homegrown fruit or vegetables must be used in the dessert.
