Syracuse man sentenced to five years for child pornography

A Syracuse man was sentenced Friday to five years in prison for possession of child pornography.

Craig Dattmore, 61, had entered a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott S. Allen Jr. said Dattmore was pulled over for an inspection at the Lewiston Queenston Bridge in 2011 and a search of his vehicle revealed 17 electronic storage devices, including hard drives, thumb drives and memory cards.

Investigators say a forensic analysis of the devices found 3,942 images of child pornography and 88 videos.
