One injured in crash near Clarence Center

One person was injured Friday morning when a car crashed into a utility pole near Clarence Center.

The accident on Tonawanda Creek Road, between Brauer and Salt roads, was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. The car hit a utility pole owned by New York State Electric and Gas.

The driver was taken to Erie County Medical Center, officials said.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating; further information wasn’t immediately available.
