TOWN OF NIAGARA –Two unrelated stops for intoxicated driving were reported Wednesday in the town, including a woman facing felony charges after she was found with a child in the car when she was stopped for allegedly driving under the influence.
Christina M. Mack, 38, of Amherst faces multiple charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, failure to keep right and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17.
Troopers said she was unable to stay within her lane while heading west on Niagara Falls Boulevard. They said she appeared intoxicated by drugs and was found with a bag containing hydrocodone. She was also found with a child under 17 in the vehicle. She was issued an appearance ticket for a court date in the Town of Niagara on Aug. 3.
In another traffic stop on Wednesday, Steven McGuire, 50, of Niagara Falls was stopped on Saunders Settlement Road in the Town of Niagara and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath test and failure to keep right. He was issued a ticket to return to the Town of Niagara Court on Aug. 13.
