Kenmore house fire caused by unattended candle

An unattended candle was the cause of a fire early Thursday morning at a Village of Kenmore house.

The fire at 267 W. Hazeltine Ave. was reported at 2:32 a.m., according to fire officials. A burning candle had been left unattended in the living room.

Damage was estimated at $50,000 to the structure and $50,000 to the contents, officials said. No injuries were reported.
