A man and woman were arrested Tuesday after the man robbed the Northwest Savings Bank on Sheridan Drive, Amherst police reported.

After robbing the bank of an undetermined amount of money, Vincent Mammina, 25, met Lisa Fiorillo, 50, in the bank parking lot, and the pair left together, police said.

Shortly afterward, they were spotted by Detective Ed Solak and Capt. Patrick McKenna on North Bailey Avenue. After a brief struggle, both were arrested and identified.

Mammima was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and conspiracy.

Fiorillo was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

Both were arraigned Wednesday morning in Amherst Town Court and sent to Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
