MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Services announced that on Wednesday, it is returning its base of operations to the County Building at 2 Academy St.
The agency has been conducting flood-recovery operations at the Portland Volunteer Fire Department since July 18.
Emergency Services officials estimated the flood’s impact on county infgrastructure at about $6.4 million.
“The Office of Emergency Services and the Small Business Association are continuing the process of assessment for Individual Assistance needs,” according to a statement from the agency.
“We continue to work with our state elected representatives to identify any and all means of reimbursement for flood damage,” said Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan. “No final determination has been made as of yet for financial assistance.”
