Fire leaves Buffalo resident homeless

A Buffalo resident was left homeless by a fire Monday morning, according to officials.

The fire at 33 Montclair Ave., between Leroy and Shawnee avenues, was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. Damage to the two-story frame home was estimated at $35,000 to the structure and $15,000 to its contents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross was called to assist an adult who lived there; fire officials described the home as “uninhabitable.”
