A proposed local law establishing historic preservation regulations is the subject of one of four public hearings scheduled for Monday’s meeting of the Town Board.

Additional hearings will be held on amending town code on short-term rentals, transient rentals and tourist homes; water system capital improvements; and a special use permit requested for a hotel at 2710 Grand Island Blvd.

A workshop meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, followed by the regular meeting at 8, in Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road.

This week:

• Lyle Stang performs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Common outside Town Hall. The historical society will be selling root beer floats.

• Black Angel performs during Friday’s free concert at the Town Common, which runs from 6 to 11 p.m.
