Jazzing up Tuesdays

Bring a lawn chair and an ear for show tunes, guitar, jazz and a cappella harmony to Williamsville’s parks for concerts on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. for the rest of the summer.

After the Williamsville Community Band plays marches and band classics at this Tuesday’s performance at Island Park behind Town Hall, the series continues with more shows at some of the other parks within the village’s single square mile.

The series is organized by the Village of Williamsville Arts & Culture Committee with sponsorship by the Williamsville Business Association. In case of rain, concerts will be held at the Meeting House, 5658 Main St.

On July, 28, the PM Guitar Duo plays jazz fusion near the waterfall at Glen Park at 5565 Main. Bring a guitar and join the music jam led by Dan & Melanie Browning at Garrison Park on Garrison Road on Aug. 4.

Zach Carr and Jonah Krull play pop music at Glen Park on Aug. 11; Friends of Harmony sing a cappella at Island Park on Aug. 18. For the series finale on Aug. 25, Pro Bono plays a smooth jazz finish at Glen Park.
