Two bicyclists injured in Jamestown when hit head-on by van

JAMESTOWN – The driver of a van crossed into the opposite lane and hit two bicyclists head-on about noon Saturday on Eight Street, Jamestown police said.

Both bicyclists suffered serious injuries and were transported to WCA Hospital. One was then airlifted to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Their identities have not been released.

The driver, identified as Tanya Critzer, 30, of Jamestown, said she was distracted by children in her van and did not see the bicyclists, police said. She was charged with failure to keep right and failure to use due care for a bicyclist.
