HAGGERTY, Helen Draper

HAGGERTY - Helen Draper 90, a resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away July 16, 2015. Helen was born August 3, 1924 in Warsaw, NY. She attended Public School 38 and Grover Cleveland High School in Buffalo, NY. She was employed for 35 years as Secretary/Office Manager at Sage Equipment Company, a.k.a. Hapco, a.k.a. Turnkey Material Handling Equipment in Buffalo. Helen was predeceased by her parents Ivan and Miriam (Clarke) Draper of North Gainesville, NY; son James Lee Haggerty of Jacksonville and sister Harriet Draper Smith of North Gainesville. She is survived by her brother Roger Arden Draper of Tonawanda, NY; daughter-in-law Linda Haggerty of Buffalo; granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Hawks; great-grandchildren Bradee Henry, Peyton Jane and Sydney Lynn, all residing in Chester, MT; several nieces and nephews. During the past year, Helen has battled many medical problems with a courageous, even cheerful, spirit, which has won the admiration of all who have worked with her. A devout Christian, Helen was a member and supporter of the North Gainesville United Methodist Church in North Gainesville, until she moved to Jacksonville, where she has been attending Mandarin Presbyterian Church on Mandarin Road. A Memorial Service will be held at the Mandarin Presbyterian Church at a later date. There will be no service at North Gainesville. Interment to be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville, NY.
