A Buffalo man faces drunk driving charges after his van struck utility poles and caught on fire on Amherst Street.

Estanley M. Montero, of Delham Avenue, was driving eastbound on Amherst Street in a 1999 white Toyota van when he drove up on the sidewalk, hit a road sign and a utility pole and then another pole, according to a Buffalo police report filed Friday.
