POOLE - Muriel Phyllis (nee Beney) Of Buffalo, NY, died suddenly at age 88 on July 9, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born on January 12, 1927 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Muriel lived a full and happy life surrounded wherever she called home by friends and family. She was an active member of St. Paul's Cathedral, avid gardener and outstanding chef who was genuinely loved by many. She is the beloved mother of two daughters and one son, Kathryn (Jay) Ferrari of NYC, James (Nam) Poole of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and Sandra (Roy) Gibson of Elma, NY. Muriel loved her seven grandchildren, Braden (Robyn) Ferrari, Sarah Gibson (Mike) Buttino, Karlyn Ferrari (Doug) Parker, George (Tracey) Almeter, Natalie Gibson (Brandon) Clayton, Geoffrey Gibson and Heather Poole. Muriel was blessed with seven great-grandsons, Elijah, Rowan and Milo Buttino, Fox and Phoenix Parker, LJ and Brandon Jr. Clayton and four great-granddaughters, Lydia, Siena, Violette and Mirabelle Buttino. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Isabella Beney; brother, Douglas Beney and youngest daughter, Melinda Almeter along with the love of her life and husband, Lee Poole. Muriel has donated her body to the University at Buffalo for research purposes. A celebration of Muriel's life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Paul's Cathedral, 128 Pearl Street, Buffalo beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contribution in her memory may be made to the Hamburg Garden Society or American Diabetes Assocation.
