Front page July 16, 1915: 'More Welsh miners defy Great Britain, strike is spreading'

Among the local news on the day's front page:

"Loses $465 in swindle by two men in street"

"Stephen Zayerd, 30 years old, of 421 Pearl street, was swindled out of $465 at 11 o'clock this morning by two men who worked the handkerchief game on him in Niagara street near the McKinley monument. Zayerd had drawn the money out of the Buffalo Savings bank."
