Man is robbed at gunpoint in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A 31–year–old man told Niagara Falls police that he was robbed by two men who jumped out of the bushes and threatened him at gunpoint just after 4:30 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Sixth Street.

The victim said he placed his hands in the air and threw down his book bag, telling the men, “Take what you want.” He said the suspects placed their hands in his trousers pocket and took $300 in cash and then fled east on Ferry Avenue.

Police were unable to locate the suspects and talked to a person who told them he had been in the area for hours collecting bottles and did not see the men.
