"Seaplane offers greatest field for U.S. defense"

" 'The greatest field for the development of America's defensive forces is to be found in the flying boat or seaplane,' Glenn H. Curtiss, president of the Curtiss Aeroplane company, told a NEWS reporter this morning, just before he left for his plant at Hammondsport.

"Mr. Curtiss did not undertake to say how many air craft the United States army and navy should be equipped with, but he is known to hold the opinion that the present aerial equipment of this government is woefully deficient."
