Shea Zappia announced last week that he has left Curly’s, the Lackawanna fine dining restaurant where he was executive chef and partner.
Zappia, along with his father Don, were part of a group that bought the restaurant last fall.
Zappia declined to publicly detail his reasons. “There were many factors that have played in this decision, none being more important than it being the right move for me and my family,” he wrote on Facebook.
In an interview, Zappia said he was enjoying spending time with his family, and researching options for his next position.
