The New York Credit Union Association named Marie Betti vice chair of its board of directors. Betti is CEO and treasurer of Western New York Federal Credit Union. She is currently serving a three-year term in the $25 million-$100 million asset category at the association. She has served on the board since 2007 and previously held the positions of board secretary and board treasurer. In addition to her work on the board of directors, Betti serves on NYCUA’s audit, governmental affairs and executive committees. She is also president of NYCUA’s Erie-Niagara Chapter.
Former Bemus Point Fire Chief Jim Shephard of National Fire Adjustment Co. participated in a panel discussion at the recent New York State Association of Fire Chiefs conference in Verona, sponsored by the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
Hamister Group Inc. selected R&P Oak Hill Development LLC as the general contractor for the Hyatt Place Hotel project located at 310 Rainbow Blvd. in Niagara Falls. The $35 million project calls for a six-story, 128-room Hyatt Place Hotel and will also include 14,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space including outdoor patio on the top floor and 7,000 square feet of retail space facing Old Falls Street.
Evergreen Health Services recently purchased office space at 408 W. Fifth St. in Jamestown for a satellite office to Evergreen’s main location in Buffalo. The company’s Southern Tier branch provides on-site HIV testing, care coordination services, client food pantry, and syringe access program. The staff also provides links to services such as primary health care, specialty health care, sexually transmitted infection and Hepatitis C virus testing, mental health services, and substance use counseling.
