Niagara Falls man charged with aggravated DWI in Town of Darien

DARIEN – Because of an improper left turn and improper signal, troopers pulled over a Niagara Falls man on Saturday in the Town of Darien and charged him with aggravated driving while intoxicated, State Police reported.

Eric J. Tiede, 37, failed to signal when he turned from Colby Road onto Richley Road, police said. Troopers said Tiede, who failed field sobriety tests, posted a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent – more than twice the legal limit. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Darien Court on July 21.
