WNY Refresh calendar picks: Refresh Mondays and more this week

Dr. Richard Vienne will be the featured speaker as Refresh Mondays continues from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at The Buffalo NewsRoom at Canalside, the pocket park at Scott and Washington streets.

Vienne, vice president and chief medical officer at Univera Healthcare, and a primary care doctor with Lifetime Health Medical Group, will talk at 12:30 p.m. about men’s health and wellness.

In the event of bad weather, his talk will be moved to the first floor of The News across Washington Street.

His talk, not surprisingly, is one of Refresh Editor Scott Scanlon's top 10 calendar picks of this week. Here are his others:

MONDAY

Outdoor spinning: 12:15 p.m., Jewish Community Center, 787 Delaware Ave., at Summer Street. Free for members; nonmembers can participate by purchasing a pass for 10 JCC classes for $59. Garden Walk: “Grand Gardens of the Niagara Portage,” 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Saturday, will include four community venues with feature presentations at  Schoellkopf Park at Memorial Medical Center, Oakwood Cemetery, the Niagara Falls Library’s International Peace Garden and the Children’s Garden at the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center. HEAL Bflo II: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Marcy Casino, Delaware Park. Full-day program of yoga classes and workshops for kids and adults, live music, complementary lunch and a gift bag. A portion of the profit will go to building a Yoga/Meditation Room at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
