Demolition of the partially-collapsed building on Scott Street in Hamburg should be completed this month.
While it looks like demolition has started, this is how the building has looked since part of the roof collapsed during the November snowstorms.
The Village Board is hiring Apollo Dismantling Services of Niagara Falls, which had the lowest cost proposal, for $31,100. The village has an agreement with the Buffalo Erie Niagara Land Improvement Corp. to fund the emergency demolition.
It is the same property the village had hoped to acquire through the land bank for demolition before part of the building fell down.
The village is hoping to get property in the West End, like this Scott Street area, ready for redevelopment.
