Gunman robs man leaving store at Main Street, Florence Avenue

A man was robbed Thursday night after leaving a store at Main Street and Florence Avenue, about two blocks north of the Scajacuada Expressway, according to a Buffalo police report.

Just after 8:30 p.m., the victim told police he was approached by a man with a gun who pointed the firearm at his hips and told him to empty his pockets, the report said.

The robber was described as a 18- or 19-year-old black male with a thin build, closely cropped black hair, brown eyes and a light complexion wearing a baggy blue hoodie, gray tapered sweats and white sneakers. The robber’s gun was black with a metal barrel.

The assailant, who originally got out of a black four-door sedan, got into an older model red Chevrolet Cavalier with a loud muffler, police were told.
