Beauts sign a pair of forwards

The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) signed forwards Devon Skeats and Erin Zach Thursday. The two took part in the Toronto free agent training camp in the Canadian Training Camp Series.

General manager Linda Mroz said she was “very impressed” with both players at camps in Buffalo and Toronto.

Skeats, from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, is the first player from the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) to sign to the NWHL. She recorded 87 points in 117 regular season games at Wilfrid Laurier University, including 21 points as a senior.

Zach, from Elmire, Ontario, recorded 74 points in 121 games at Rochester Institute of Technology.
