Drugs found on Buffalo man stopped for trespassing

A Buffalo man allegedly trespassing Thursday on railroad property in North Buffalo was found by police to have an outstanding warrant and 10 bags of heroin in his possession, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Luther Ismaila, 21, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, trespassing and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s ATV Unit stopped Ismaila on CSX property near River Rock Drive, according to a news release. Deputies said Ismaila was wanted on a City of Buffalo warrant and, in addition to the heroin, also possessed a bag of marijuana and a Lortab pill.

He was sent to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $2,500 bail.
