Chautauqua County Tapestry program gets $1 million infusion

The Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a $1 million grant to the Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene.

The funds will target the expansion of the county’s Tapestry program, which gives troubled youth and their families access to counseling, suicide prevention and other resources. The funding will ensure that the program is expanded into all county school districts.

The grant was announced by Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, who said the program “makes sure kids have access to the best possible chance for a quality life and provides them with the resources they need to thrive.”
