Starting next week, WNY Refresh will help you find more ways to improve your health and wellness this summer with a new Canalside event: Refresh Mondays.
The Buffalo News and the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo have joined forces to share helpful information – and weekly guest speakers – each Monday through August at the Buffalo NewsRoom at Canalside, the pocket park at Scott and Washington streets tucked between HarborCenter, The News, the Courtyard by Marriott and the old Aud site.
Helpful information will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and a guest speaker will talk at 12:30 p.m. about health, fitness, nutrition or family life.
Philip L. Haberstro, executive director of the Wellness Institute, will speak Monday about creating healthy communities and provide information about how to get and stay healthy.
The VA Medical Center will provide health care information for veterans, including diabetes prevention and treatment. See a related story about VA health care today on Page 14.
