A man was arrested Thursday morning during a raid on a marijuana-growing operation at his Riverside Avenue home, Buffalo police said.
Thomas McGinnis, 52, faces felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful growing of marijuana and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said 49 marijuana plants were found in the home along with loose marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several prescription pills outside of their original containers. The raid was conducted by Erie County sheriff’s deputies and Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit officers.
McGinnis’ two daughters, who were in the house at the time of the raid, were left in the custody of other family members, police said. McGinnis remained in Erie County Holding Center Thursday evening.
