LOCKPORT – The Lockport Rotary Club has presented Paul Harris Fellowship awards to two individuals and the Lockport Ice Arena and Sports Center board, which built Cornerstone Arena.

The individual winners at the recent installation dinner were Janice Flood Nichols, a survivor of polio who has dedicated her life to the eradication of the disease through vaccination, and Richard P. Mullaney, former Lockport city clerk and budget director.

The arena board was honored for meeting the Rotary theme of “service above self” for their perseverance in bringing an ice arena back to Lockport for the first time since 1986.

The club also elected David Greenfield president; Julie Coy, president-elect; Ellen Schratz, vice president; Eugene Urban, secretary; Dan Wilson, assistant secretary; Bob Shaw, treasurer; Jay Dry, assistant treasurer; and Nancy Post Lange, sergeant-at-arms. Julie Paul and Brian Sibiga were newly elected to the Board of Directors.
